  • watching others on the job
  • working with co-workers and supervisors
  • communicating with suppliers and manufacturers
  • watching videos on product lines
  • going to courses on marketing
  • going to seminars from suppliers

Retail Sales Associates may

  • use computer-based learning (CBL) and participate in group discussions to learn how to improve sales
  • train with staff in other stores, sections or other product lines
