Program Details:

The Deaf Empowerment Program (DEP) is an academic upgrading program in a learner-centred environment for those who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Deafened. DEP provides programming in 5 learning pathways: Independence, Employment, Adult Secondary School Credit, Post-Secondary Preparation and Apprenticeship. Learners may attend the full-time day program, Monday to Friday, at the Fennell Campus or night school classes, once a week, at the Fennell or Brantford campuses. DEP offers continuous intake at any time. This is a bi-literacy, learning outcomes based literacy program taught in ASL by deaf instructors in a learner-centered environment which are specifically designed to meet the needs and interests of each learner.
